  From The Clergy

Rabbi StoneJudaism is certainly a tradition that values the written word. After all, we are known as the People of the Book. But it is also true that a picture is worth a thousand words.
In truth, it is probably some combination of words and images that provide the most inspiration in such a highly visual society.  Therefore, I am embarking on a new project I am calling “InstaTorah.” I hope to send out short inspirational quotes from ancient and modern thinkers each Friday before Shabbat as we enter the new year of 5774.
But in order to do so, I need your help: Calling all Photographers (amateurs and professionals alike), Facebook fans, Pinterest enthusiasts, and Instragram aficionados -- please submit your favorite inspirational photographs over the next few weeks in order to be a part of this InstaTorah project. For copyright reasons, please submit only those photos that you have taken yourself. I will be sure to credit you in the caption.

Please submit up to 5 of your favorite photos by emailing rabbistone@cbbsb.org.

CBB - Did you know...

Founded in 1938 for children of the Holocaust, the pluralistic Leo Baeck Education Center, rooted in the humanistic values of Progressive Judaism and committed to the founders' vision that the State of Israel be a force for good in the world, is one of Israel's finest institutions of values-based academic excellence, community outreach and social action. It also happens to be CBB's twin-communities partner. Don't miss this Friday's Shabbat evening guest speakers, Shahar and Amit, two high school seniors at the Leo Baeck Center School.
