  From the Rabbi

How can I describe the magic that happens at Family Camp?  We are actually only away for a day and a half, but that short weekend becomes an “island in time” during which marvelous transformations occur.  Strangers become friends.  Away from the pressures and worries of everyday life, we learn again how to relax, together with other members of our community.  The Brandeis-Bardin  setting is gorgeous; the food is good; and the company is unbeatable.  And this year we will be joined by the brilliant Jewish story-teller Joel ben Izzy.  Our 2013-2014 CBB Family Camp is coming up in less than two weeks and thanks to a generous grant from the Glazer Family Foundation it is completely affordable for EVERYONE. Click here for more information. Register here.

CBB - Did you know...

This Friday's service is "3rd Friday Ruach!"
It is a family friendly service (a little shorter with a story from the Rabbi instead of a full sermon) that is accompanied by our dynamic Temple Band. Join together for great music, fun story-telling, meditative prayer, warm community, and a Shabbat filled with shalom.

B'shira uv'shalom!

Help needed at Pershing Park

There is a greater need for food at our monthly dinner for the homeless in Pershing Park. Recent budget problems at Casa Esperanza have resulted in the termination of a free lunch program. Consequently, more people are showing up for dinner and they are hungrier. CBB members serve dinner the 4th Wednesday of the month at 5:15 PM. Please contact Audrie Krause for more information. If you are not able to bring prepared food to serve with our group, non-perishables single serving food items can be dropped off any Wednesday evening.
