  From the Rabbi

“Is this the little girl I carried?” On Thursday this week Marian and I will fly to London for our daughter Rachel’s wedding to Zachary Eilon, son of our dear friends Barbara and Daniel Eilon.  Because Marian and I first met in London fifty years ago, this wedding journey feels like the completion of one full revolution of the great wheel of life.
Of course we are sad that we will not be surrounded by this community that has helped us in so many ways to raise our daughter, but we hope that you will mark your calendars for Sunday afternoon, July 6th, when Rachel and Zach and Zach’s family will all be at CBB for an Open House, which will mark the final stage of their wedding celebration.  Thank you all for all your love and good wishes as we pass this huge milestone in the life of our family!

CBB - Did you know...

Seventeen CBB members and staff attended the URJ Biennial in San Diego this past week. You can see the video of several key note talks, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Rabbi Rick Jacobs and Rabbi David Ellenson, who is retiring as the President of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.  There are also several videos of creative musicians, including Josh Nelson, Rick Recht and Julie Silver. Click here.
